Jackson deals with double day dilemma
JACKSON Bruce's brothers and sisters consider themselves pretty lucky ? they get presents on Jackson's birthday as well as their own.
Jackson was born on Christ- mas Day and like families all over the world, the Bruce house- hold waits in anticipation of the arrival of Santa.
But Christmas Day for the Bruces is even more hectic.
"First thing in the morning we say happy birthday, other-wise it's forgotten about as ev- eryone begins opening their pre- sents ? and then we have a Christmas breakfast and in the afternoon we have a birthday cake,'' Mrs Bruce said.
"So we squish everything in to the one day but it works out in the end.''
She said the family had cele- brated Jackson's birthday be- fore Christmas one year but it "didn't feel the same'' so they de- cided to celebrate the two occa- sions in the one day.
Jackson's older brother Chris, 11, said his little brother should also receive presents on his sibling's birthdays to even out the score.
