Gymnasts firing at men's invitational

GYMNAST Kevin Beneke led the strong Gladstone charge at the Vic- toria Park Men's Artistic (MAG) in- vitational meet in Rockhampton last weekend.

Beneke's consistency was the key to his success, winning the hotly- contested Level 1 event.

His Gladstone club-mate Madison Galbraith was another in good form finishing third, while Jaiden Eddy, Riley Bateman, Broderick Davis and Montell Cook could be proud of their efforts.

Benjamin Neucom had a weekend he will not forget, earning his Level 2 badge.

Other Level 2 performers Hayden Turner and Harrison Madge did well, with Madge's second on the parallel bars a highlight.

In Level 3, Matthew Rowland and Sonny Ward warmed up for the state clubs competition with some honest performances, while Billy Ward scored well in Level 4.

Gladstone Gymnastic Club's MAG coach Grant Onions was very proud of his gymnasts' performance on the day.
