THE TRIP of a lifetime was how Glen Camenzuli described his recent futsal tour to Brazil and Chile.
Camenzuli toured to the home of futsal as a key member of the Queensland under-15 team which played seven matches against strong South American opposition.
He was one of the standouts of the tour, impressing many with a number of assured displays for the Vikings.
Camenzuli found the tour a great experience, saying the chance to play in two of the world's leading futsal countries was 'excellent'.
'It was an excellent tour, the game was a lot faster than what I was used to and I learned a lot of things,' Camenzuli said.
'The South American teams play a quick game and you have to be quick to adjust to the tempo.'
The Gladstone United Soccer Club product also attended a Brazilian outdoor soccer match at the world-famous Maracana Stadium which hosted the 1950 World Cup final.
'To visit the Maracana was just unbelievable, it is a massive stadium and the crowds were so loud,' he said.
'It was just great to be part of the atmosphere.'
Camenzuli's trip was made more special by the fact he saw snow for the first time.
'To see snow was something a bit different, it was the first time I had ever seen it.
'That must be why they call it Chile,' he said.
