Floats stand out with Circus Solarus tips

DO you want your float to stand out in the crowd in this year's Gladstone Harbour Festival street parade?

If so, you can get a helping hand from some of the best in the business tonight.

Sydney street theatre group, Circus Solarus, will be on hand at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum to inspire with The Art of Celebration.

Festival organiser Judy Whicker said Circus Solarus would explore some of the most amazing carnival floats and costumes in the world and provide lots of easy but fabulous ideal and tips for creating your own parade entry.

She said Circus Solarus specialised in street theatre.

So it's not just about creating floats, it will also be of great interest to marching and pedestrian groups and exploring incorporating choreography, performance and percussion into the parade.
