Designs prepared for Parksville sites

A NEW bridge over Auckland Creek is part of a proposed staged development of 179 blocks by Parksville Holdings Pty Ltd.

Spokesman for the company Edgar Allen said engineering designs were being prepared for the allotments with completion expected within the next six months.

'This will allow for the (future) construction of a bridge over Auckland Creek and the extension of Dixon Drive to Kirkwood Road to be started,' he said.

Mr Allen said the company purchased the balance of Telina Estate to facilitate the connection, and Dixon Drive had now been completed to Auckland Creek.

Mr Allen said construction of the last 100 home sites at Telina was almost complete.

'The estate is selling well and there will be 20 to 30 homes completed or under construction dur-ing the next six months,' he said.

He said the company's concept plan provided for about 300 home sites and a local shopping/community precinct north of Kirkwood Road.

Land south of Kirkwood Road would eventually yield another 400-plus home sites.

Parksville Holdings is the enterprise of the Allen brothers which also includes Grahame and Bruce.
