Crane takes mystery topple

GLEN EDEN residents were surprised to see a crane on its end at Cavella Drive yesterday afternoon.

Local residents gathered around the work site, bemused at the sight of the crane. While some residents suggested the crane

could have been a potential fire risk, they could not solve the mystery as to what cause the crane to roll on its end.

Local authorities also could not determine how the structure came to be in this precari- ous position, and no one was believed to be injured in the incident.

The Observer yesterday contacted the Gladstone police station and local fire station officers who were unaware of the incident.

However, it was believed a Workplace Health and Safety investigation was under-way to determine the cause of the accident.
