City spots snared

GLADSTONE Brothers and Wallabys have been rewarded for their strong start to the A grade extended rugby league season by each having five players named in the City side to meet Country in Rockhampton on June 4.

The trial match is the final hitout for players to impress Central Queensland Capras selectors before they name a side to contest the Queensland Rugby League Divisional Carnival in Gladstone on June 11 and 12.

While the unbeaten CQU Norths dominate the City squad, Gladstone heavyweights Wallabys and Gladstone also have a healthy representation in a side which will start as favourites against Country.

City was selected from players with CQU Norths, Wallabys, Gladstone Brothers and Rockhampton Brothers and, between them, the clubs hold down the top four spots on the CQ Extended League premiership.
