City revamp on target

THE Library Square is on track for completion and is heading into stage two.

Gladstone's new cultural and entertainment centre is heading into its second stage.

The council liaison officer, Sharon Stott, said the council was contacting traders about the works.

"The council is in the process of contacting traders in the vicinity to discuss works schedules for the path areas, expected to commence on February 25,'' Ms Stott said.

The council will publish details of any expected path closures and access points as provided by ScapeShapes.

A council media release states ScapeShapes has reported it is still aiming for completion about the end of April, however this could be subject to unforeseen events and prolonged rain delays.

The council also wants to remind CBD shoppers and traders there is parking available in the entertainment centre car park, but there is a two-hour parking restriction enforced on half the lower level.
