BITS Saints odds shorten for flag



BITS have shortened as AFL Capricornia under-17 premiership favourites after a crushing 48 point win over Brothers at Victoria Park on Saturday.

The Saints had the better of what was a physical clash winning 8.11.59 to 1.5.11.

Nick Bull and Alex Totton revelled in the atmosphere kicking three goals apiece, while Justin Mountjoy was named best on ground.

BITS' dominant form continued in the under-15 competition, scoring a 12.12.84 to 0.0.0 win over the Roos.

Craig Shipard's fine year carries on, with another best on ground performance, while Todd Sefton and Dale Clarke also played well. Jordan Lofts kicked three for the winners.

The Saints also enjoyed a victory in the under-13 encounter, with Sam Parks kicking four goals in a comfortable 10.12.72 to 0.2.2 win.

At Clinton Park, the Gladstone Mudcrabs chalked up an impressive win with Aiden Hearn kicking four goals in their 12.11.83 to 2.0.12 win over CQU Panthers.

Hearn was named best on ground for his performance, while Cameron O'Grady also starred kicking three goals.

Panthers enjoyed another win in the under-15 clash, proving far too good for the Mudcrabs by the tune of 73 points.

The Mudcrabs' best were Aaron Monish, Shane Eilola and Martin Lowry.

Meanwhile, Yeppoon enjoyed good wins in the under-17 and under-15 matches against Glenmore, while the Bulls had Brodie Tatnell to thank for their win in the under-13s.
