BITS, Central battle for pride

BITS and Central have the ideal opportunity to rise up the premiership ladder when the sides meet in tonight's Capricornia Soccer League first division encounter at BITS Park.

With the sides occupying the bottom two spots on the premiership ladder after four rounds (although each has only played three matches) both outfits will be desperate for points tonight.

With nearest rivals Cap Coast and Parkana also clashing tonight, the opportunity is there for the winners of tonight's BITS-Central encounter to move further up the premiership ladder.

Central have the advantage of having played last weekend, their 2-2 draw against Cap Coast the only match of the round to be played after the remaining fixtures in Rockhampton were called off due to rain-affected fields.

Meanwhile, the final round of Gladstone Soccer Federation preseason games will be completed this weekend. GSF coaches have one last chance to finalise combinations prior to the start of the season proper.
