MIJO Developments will set up a fully serviced accommodation camp for workers on its $300 mil- lion Sansara resort at Agnes Water.
Marketing manager Yael Brad- bury said plans were being pre- pared to set up the camp on part of its Oyster Creek property about 30km south west of Agnes Water.
The construction work at its height is expected to employ 250 construction workers.
'Although we aim to source many of the workers locally, there will be a need to bring people from elsewhere as well who will re- quire accommodation,' she said.
Miriam Vale Shire Council and residents have expressed concern that Agnes Water would face ac- commodation shortages as more people poured into the township to take jobs on at least three major resort projects this year.
Work is already under way on the CKG Property's Pavillions on 1770 and the Dan Murphy shop- ping precinct being set up within the Beaches on 1770 resorts devel- opment area.
Ms Bradbury said the house on the Agnes Water headland (for-merly the home of developer Lance Woodrow) and the Agnes Water caravan park mobile homes would be moved to the Oys- ter Creek property Mijo bought to establish an airfield.
Detailed plans for the Sansara resort are expected to be consid- ered by council at its meeting on March 21.
