Anyone in a flap because their cockatiel is missing?

HERVEY Bay police have an unexpected visitor on Wednesday morning - a cockatiel that walked through the front door of the station at Scarness about 8am.

Police said the "suspicious character" had no identification on him and was refusing to reveal his name or who he belonged too.

"He is very friendly and loves jewellery," a police representative said.

The bird is being held at the station and anyone who can identify him and his righful owner should phone Hervey Bay police on 4128 5333.
