WATCH: Another ripper day at Mt Larcom Show
MOUNT Larcom Show was the big GPS destination for thousands of people who were out and about over the weekend.
There was never enough time to see everything or spend at side show alley for the big turnout of families.
The woodchoppers and horse events all had big crowds but the very young were captivated by what was going on in the animal nursery.
Petting the goats, piglets, keeping a watchful eye on the turkeys and geese, and grinning over the puppies put big smiles on the kids' faces.
Watching over them were Mark and Cathy Ahchay .
The couple are passionate about their rural show and have been part of the Mount Larcom Show Society team for 20 years.
"It's a great family day. It's a very good rural agricultural show," Mr Ahchay said.
Mrs Ahchay said they love it doing it but mainly it was "for the kids".
"The animal nursery is definitely the most popular," she said.
The couple said unlike other regions the Mount Larcom event was thriving, attracting thousands of people.
"It just seems to get bigger every year," Mrs Ahchay said.
"There are a lot more city people here from Gladstone and Rockhampton, and we have a lot more animals.
"Children love it because they don't usually have that close contact with these animals. They are just so excited to see them here.
