Another car has been found set on fire in Calliope area

ANOTHER car has been found set alight in the Calliope area.

The car was found locked and on fire on the side of the Bruce Hwy, south of the Calliope crossroads, at 2.30am on Wednesday.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating.

It follows an arson attack on two four-wheel-drive vehicles at a unit complex at Calliope on Monday.

Damage to the total of $85,000 was caused in the attack.

Gladstone CIB head Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said on Monday investigations suggested that both four-wheel-drives had been deliberately targeted by a brazen arsonist.
