Annie and Lloyd bomb out of sudden death cook-off

HIGH school sweethearts Annie and Lloyd were the first cooks eliminated from the new round of My Kitchen Rules tonight.

The Adelaide couple, who have recently moved to Brisbane, lost the reality cooking show's first sudden-death cook-off of the year to mum and daughter Vicky and Celine.

In the all-South Australian elimination, the two teams served up three courses to the show's celebrity chef judging panel.

Time management and the pressure of the clock were issues for the young couple, who served up inedible squid in their entrée.

Despite bouncing back with an impressive main course, Annie and Lloyd struggled to plate up their dessert.

With just 10 minutes left on the clock they put their chocolate puddings in the over and, as expected, were forced to serve an undercooked final course.

"We didn't deliver tonight and we got the scores that we deserve," Lloyd said.

"This day marks the last day of our time in this competition but it also marks the first day of our new lives together."

Tomorrow night, the remaining teams will cook for the farmers who grow and raise the produce they cook with. The people's choice winner will be safe from the next two eliminations.
