Anglo American sells Callide mine to Australian company

ANGLO American yesterday sold 100% of its share of Callide coal mine in Biloela to private Brisbane company Batchfire.

The company today made the announcement it had entered into the share sale agreement of the mine which includes the Boundary Hill site.

 The transaction sale remains subject to several conditions precedent.

An Anglo American spokesperson said the mine would operate as usual while the sale was being processed and no jobs were affected at this time.
