Anglers brave overcast conditions
GLADSTONE recorded its lowest temperature for September on the weekend, with the temperature dropping to 15.6 degrees on Saturday.
Despite overcast, gloomy conditions, anglers were out on the waters trying to snag a few.
Volunteer Marine Rescue controller Brian Haydon said it was surprising that there were almost 100 boats out on the water over the weekend, despite the overcast conditions and reports of 16 knots/ hour wind reported yesterday morning.
The forecast for today is similar to yesterday’s conditions with a few light showers expected throughout the day.
The forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday shows the Gladstone region is expected to be overcast with 90 per cent chances of rain, and winds are expected to increase.
