Amber wins fashion race as jockey inspires

THERE was a large turn-out at Gladstone Turf Club for the Easter Saturday races and fashions on the field.

Dressing in everything from bright block colours to pretty pastels, the 22 ladies who entered the fashion race were obviously in it to win, but Amber Voss took out the title.

Wearing a colour co-ordinated cobalt blue and black outfit, Ms Voss knew she had winning colours on.

"My outfit today is inspired by the colours of my fabulous jockey friend Tracey O'Hara," she said.

"Harmony Hair and Beauty did my hairstyle and Kimberly did my make-up.

"I went for block colours because you can't go wrong with simple city."

Tayla Morgan also placed in the competition; she opted for florals though.

"Pastels are always pretty and opal-like earrings suit the fascinator," she said.

"My clothing is from Saltt and my fascinator is from Pink Lane Hats."
