Project to open HMAS Gladstone to public progresses

EXCITEMENT is building over the opening of HMAS Gladstone.

The maritime warship was moved to East Shores in November.

Maritime Museum president Lindsay Wassell said the project to open the ship to the public was progressing well.

He said he had had many requests from people who were keen to be the first to step on board.

"It's going to be a case of just get on the end of the queue, and the end of the queue starts at Mount Larcom!" Mr Wassell said.
