Agnes Water information night to be held on town planning

AN INFORMATION night will be held on Monday, July 22, for Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy residents to learn more about the future planning of their townships.

Gladstone Regional Council Mayor Gail Sellers said the information night would be an important part in developing the local components of the council's new single land-use planning scheme and encouraged residents to take part.

"The information night follows the community visioning session, held in May, to help shape the future form and function of both townships from a planning perspective," Cr Sellers said.

"This follow up session provides residents the opportunity to comment on the draft findings from the initial visioning session."

The information night will be held from 5.30pm to 7.15pm at the Agnes Water Community Centre at 71 Springs Road.

Residents interesting in attending the information night can RSVP to the council's regional strategy section by phoning 1300 621 922, emailing regionalstrategy@gladstonerc.qld.gov.au or visiting www.gladstone.qld.gov.au/web/guest/community-meetings
