Agnes Water event designed for youth to chill out

A FREE community youth event is planned for the Agnes Water Skate Park on July 20 from 11am-2pm.

Hosted by Gladstone Regional Council and the Discovery Coast Community Health Service, Chill Out will feature a range of activities and prizes up for grabs.

Gladstone region Mayor Gail Sellers said Chill Out would provide free, fun youth entertainment for those living in or visiting the southern sector of the region.

"Council's Youth Development Team does a fine job of providing youth across the region with different forms of entertainment and networking opportunities," Cr Sellers said.

"This event will also provide those attending with an opportunity to meet the Gladstone Region Youth Council members and discuss any relevant youth-related community issues."

Putt-putt golf and a gladiator dual challenge feature among the event activities, with food and drinks available and prizes to be won.

People aged below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
