Accused teen killer fronts court

A TEENAGE criminal accused of killing a fellow  inmate at a Western Australian prison farm has fronted court.

Robert Thomas Garlett, 19, allegedly bashed 35-year-old Troy Roginson at the Wooroloo farm near Perth on Monday.

Charges were upgraded to unlawful assault causing death after the alleged victim died in hospital.

WA Police are treating the incident as a death in custody.
