Case continues for Mt Larcom's abandoned puppies

INVESTIGATIONS into who is responsible for abandoning seven puppies on the side of the road earlier this month are continuing.

Sergeant Kevin Whicker said Gladstone Police and the Friends of RSPCA recently attended an address they believed was linked to backyard breeders but found no signs of mistreatment.

He said police were in the midst of interviewing key witnesses and urged anybody with information to come forward.

A passing motorist came across the bull-arab litter on the way to Mt Larcom when one of the puppies ran in front of her car.

The puppies are now under the care of the Friends of RSPCA secretary Tammy Driessen.

If you have any information, which could assist with the investigation contact Gladstone police on 4971 3222 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

And if you are interested in adopting one of the puppies or are able to assist the local RSPCA Group please call Judy Whicker on 0417 065 394.
