A surprise proposal
BLAKE Lambert and Fiona Fall fell head over heels for one another the moment they met.
Two years later, Blake popped the question on their anniversary on February 5.
"As Blake is a FIFO (fly-in fly-out worker) he was meant to be at work," Fiona said.
"Well that's what I thought.
"He had already arranged with work to fly back early."
He phoned Fiona and told her to leave the house for half an hour.
"I will call you when you can go home as your present is being dropped off," he told her.
So Fiona went for a drive and waited for his phone call.
"I was little bit nervous, I didn't know what to expect," she said.
When she finally arrived home and opened the door, Blake jumped out and yelled, "Surprise!"
"He got out the box, opened it, he was about to get down on one knee but I started crying," Fiona said.
"He hugged me and then asked me to marry him."
Brad gently slid a beautiful princess cut diamond ring onto his bride-to-be's hand.
In celebration the couple held a big party with 70 of their closest friends and family at the Rocky Glen Hotel.
"It was a great night enjoyed by everyone," Fiona said.
"I'm very excited for the next phase of our lives."
The couple have just purchased their first house in Bargara and will move in next month.
