SATURDAY will be rugby league heaven with a feast of matches at Marley Brown Oval ahead of the CQ Capras and Redcliffe Dolphins match from 7pm.

Capras have had an indifferent season after a promising start and its end of the season does not get any easier against the top-of-the table Dolphins.

The 'home' side were belted 52-14 against Sunshine Coast Falcons last weekend and coach Kim Williams wants to use the final two matches as a base for 2017.

Capras sit in third last position on the Intrust Super Cup ladder and Williams is clear about what players are on top of his shopping list.

"I think we're a few quality players short and I think that's been shown across the course of the season," he said.

"We're definitely targeting a couple of front rowers. We've lacked size this year. Gavin Hiscox has been outstanding but he's a 99kg front rower and I would much prefer to play him at lock if we had the personnel up front."

Capras will welcome back Jack Kavanagh and Chanel Seigafo from suspension for the tough Dolphins' assignment while Adam Henry re-injured an existing groin injury in the loss to the Falcons and Brandon Manase is still in doubt because of illness.

Williams hinted at changes to the Capras' playing style in a bid to test the Falcons' vaunted defence.

"If they haven't got the best defensive record they're not far off it because they give you nothing so it's very hard to score points against them," Williams said.

"This time of the year we might be looking at a bit of unorthodox stuff or some second phase stuff to break up their defence a little bit and it's probably the way we need to play them this week."

Meanwhile Nhulundu Health Services and Deadly Choices have naming rights to the day because of its $22 thousand contribution into bringing the two Capras matches to Gladstone.
