Gladstone swimwear model features in V8 calendar
GLADSTONE'S Anderson and Rasby family will be tearing off the pages of their 2016 wall calendars in the rush to reach August 2016.
For this family, August 2016 will be a model month as daughter Ashley "Ash" Anderson will grace the Miss V8 Super Model calendar as the face and body of that month.
It's a dream come true for the swimwear model whose mum, Lee-Ann Rasby, and dad Don Anderson encouraged her to do deportment classes many years ago as a schoolgirl with Gladstone professional Kathy Corones.
As a child Ashley found Ms Corones and the deportment classes to be inspirational as she strived to develop a similar style.
Ashley, 23, has already done the photo shoot on the Gold Coast at Broadbeach and expects the 2016 calendars to soon be arriving by the box-full in her home town.
Her family and friends have already got their pre-orders in, and Ashley hopes her bikini photo taken with a classic Hot Rod will be a winner.
"I've been modelling 10 years now and I love it. The friendships, the camaraderie and socialising with the other girls," says the Grand Hotel bar attendant.
However, it was only 15 months ago that she first did competitive swimwear modelling and came third in a Maxim competition.
Ashley was also first runner-up in the 2014 Miss Swimsuit USA competition.
She has also done promotional work for Bundaberg Rum, Midori, Free Choice Tobacconist, and Pure Blonde and placed well in a growing number of competitions including a Miss Snow Bunny competition.
To buy a colourful 2016 V8 calendar, which also includes some great machinery on treads, not just in swimwear threads, you can contact Ashley on Facebook or at The Grand Hotel.
