WEDDING FILES: A hattrick of moments for young couple
BUYING a house, getting married and having children. These are major milestones, but most people don't expect to hit all three in six weeks.
And when Rachael Wootton booked her wedding at Tondoon Botanic Gardens a year ago she had no idea it would be milestone number three.
She and husband Matthew Offer found out they'd fallen pregnant in June last year and baby Khloee arrived just four weeks before the wedding.
"When I tried my $2500 dress on two weeks before the wedding it didn't fit," Rachael said.
"I was worried, but once the swelling went (from my c-section) it fit."
The pair has also just moved into a new home they built at Calliope meaning in just over six weeks they've been through three major life changes.
But that hasn't worried Rachael, who says she has a relaxed approached to life.
She and Matthew have been together for eight years and Rachael says married life hasn't changed their day to day interactions much.
"That's probably because we've been together so long we already feel like an old married couple," Rachael said.
The big day went off without a hitch with perfect weather, a lovely reception and a photo shoot among nature. The only downside is that now the train on Rachael's white dress is black.
"My mum was worried about my dress, but I just told her not to be. It got stood on a fair few times once everyone had a few drinks, but I managed not to get tripped over."
