Something's there ... but is it a UFO over the Sunshine Coast?

AS Greta Kleinhans looked over the Glasshouse Mountains from a cafe at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, she snapped the scene.

Greta, of Mooloolah, took the picture with her mobile phone but it was not until later she realised an unusual object in the foreground. "I didn't notice anything in the sky when I took the photo - no balloons, skydivers, planes, nothing," she said.

"I noticed this black thing in the photo. "I checked the lens and there was no marks on it and all the photos I took before and after that were fine.

"It's a mystery really, it might have been a UFO, I don't know."

Queensland UFO Researchers president Sheryl Gottschall said the image did not seem to be a weather balloon or remote-controlled toy.

"This does resemble the classic disk shape of a UFO, but it is not to say it is not a UFO."

UFO Research Queensland is eager to hear from anyone else who spotted the mysterious object caught by Greta on Friday about noon.
