Four men found not guilty of murder over Christmas bashing

A JURY has found four men not guilty of murdering Robert "Jessie" Jordan at Morayfield on Christmas Day 2012, but found all of them guilty manslaughter.

The trial, which lasted for more than two weeks, came to an end on Wednesday at Brisbane Supreme Court for the four men - Anthony David Joseph Phillips, 29, Douglas Allan Phillips, 25, Michael Robert Selmes, 23, and Dallas Glenn Kincaid Dean, 34.

They all pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Jordan, who was bashed to death outside a house on Christmas Day 2012.

The trial ended on Wednesday after the jury requested to review some of the evidence that was presented during the trial.

The 12-person jury, consisting of seven women and five men, handed down the verdicts for each man individually.

Some of the men's relatives were heard crying in the court room.

The men will be sentenced on a future date. - ARM NEWSDESK
