60-year-old woman beaten and injured in Ipswich adult store

A 60-year-old woman has sustained a suspected broken nose, facial injuries and a bite to her arm after she was allegedly assaulted in an Ipswich adult store on Brisbane Street overnight.

It will be alleged at 6.15pm, she approached a woman regarding an earlier shop stealing incident at a separate business.

A physical altercation allegedly occurred in which the 60-year-old was punched and kicked, and was bitten on her left arm before the offender left the store.

She was stopped outside the business by two men until police arrived.

The 60-year-old woman was transported to Ipswich General Hospital for treatment.

A 33-year-old Brassall woman is scheduled to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today charged with one count each of stealing and serious assault.
