One. Sonia Mobbs from Mobbs Productions and Rebecca Noy from The Dream Team Modelling and Media Agency organized a mermaid collaboration styled shoot with one of their young models Maddison Costello. The police were patrolling the beach and said hello and requested a photo with the mermaid. It made everyone's day.

Two. Dick Smith is officially gone from Gladstone with all products, shelves and fittings being removed from the Herbert St store yesterday. Receivers Ferrier Hodgson announced in early January the electronics chain went into voluntary administration. Ferrier Hodgson failed to find a buyer for Dick Smith and was forced to close the 301 stores across Australia.
Three. Michael Casey left Gladstone yesterday on foot. The freestyle rapper, DJ, MC and beatboxer has been walking the east coast of Australia on his music tour. He decided to do the 2100km journey to raise awareness for R U Ok and 21Hundred. He left the Gold Coast on March 14 and hopes to arrive in Cairns on June 23.
Four. If you are trying you luck at catching any fish that escaped the hooks from Hook Up fishers then you will need to know the all important tides. Today there will be a 3.98m high at 6.10am and 3.97m at 6.47pm. There will only be one low of 0.7m at 12.38pm. Tomorrow there is a 4.11m high at 7.03am and 4.25m at 7.35pm. There will be a 0.89m low at 12.57am and 0.48m at 1.28pm.
Five. Used and brand new construction equipment from the Curtis Island LNG projects will go under the hammer in Gracemere on Wednesday. Auctioneer and valuer Hassalls is running the auction, which will see shipping containers trucks, trailers, four-wheel drives and many more items all available.
