30,000 digital jobs on offer if SEQ councils cooperate

SOUTH-east Queensland could attract 30,000 new jobs and $10 billion to its economy if the region's councils could co-ordinate when building new digital infrastructure, IT consultant Cisco has found.

"For councils, it is about investing in technology that will create efficiencies and reduce waste," the report found.

"For business, it is about opportunities to broaden the economy and for the public it is about using technology to improve their lifestyle."
