30 photos put focus on region
THIRTY photographs that reflect the Gladstone region, community and environment, were unveiled at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum last night.
Winners of the Intercity Images photography competition were announced by Mayor Gail Sellers and Gladstone Saiki Sister City Advisory Committee president Wendy Marsh.
Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum cultural projects officer Di Paddick said there were more than 200 submissions in a fantastic show of support from the region’s photographers.
“The selected images will travel to Saiki City, Japan, to be displayed alongside images from their city’s photographers and then the combined display will return to Gladstone in August to be exhibited in conjunction with Gladstone’s Multicultural Festival on Sunday, August 7, at the Gladstone Marina.”
The exhibition of entries received will be on display at the gallery until May 21.
