28yo driver in car accident charged with drink driving

A 28 year old man has been charged with drink driving and driving without due care and attention after he was involved in a single vehicle accident early this morning.

At 4.45am Gladstone Police were called to the car accident on the Bruce Hwy at Calliope.

The driver of the Holden Commodore returned a breath alcohol reading of .106.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics also attended and assessed the driver and the female passenger.

Neither was taken to the hospital.

The driver will appear in court at a later date.
