THE annual 1770 Captain Cook Festival is just around the corner, but what's a festival without good bands?

This year, the festival is celebrating its 22nd year and it will be a big one.

Local Discovery Coast band Cosmic String Theory will perform for the third year in a row, excited about bringing their rock/blues/funk/reggae sound to 1770 next weekend.

The band has a powerful female lead vocal and plenty of instruments such as drums, bass, harp and saxophone.

Cosmic String Theory will hit the 1770 Festival Main Stage from 2.45 to 3.45pm on Sunday, May 25, straight after Quatro.

Don't miss a minute of the fun!
