11 charged with public urination

IT was a crazy Saturday night out on the town in Gladstone.

Up to 17 court appearances and infringement notices were issued for drunken disorderly behaviour including 11 accounts of public urination.

The crackdown is part of operation parasol which targets offensive alcohol related behaviour. Sergeant Wayne Butcher from Gladstone Police was not impressed with the behaviour he saw on our streets.

"I want to reiterate to the public that if you are going out, don't use the streets as a toilet." He said.

"If you try to spoil someone's night, expect to be placed into the watch house."
