A swimmer leaves the blocks.
GLADSTONE Gropers held a successful carnival on the weekend with eight clubs travelling to compete at John Dahl pool.
There were 59 entrants from across these clubs with the Groper, Hervey Bay Humpbacks and Bundaberg's Rum City teams making up most of the entrants, with other clubs represented by smaller groups.
"It was a very good weekend, all went very smoothly," organiser Ken White said.
"I am exhausted now though."
White was impressed with the performance of some of the young swimmers from the Gropers and said everyone did well.
The Gropers travel to Hervey Bay in two weeks to compete in the state long-course titles.
