Worse than grounding

FIGHTING with his mother has resulted in one 21-year-old facing a term of imprisonment.

Ainsley Sheridan Josefski appeared in Gladstone Magistrate Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to a number of offenses, including assault.

The court heard how an argument between Josefski and his mother broke out on October 31 last year because Josefski hadn't paid rent.

Josefski pushed past his mother to get to his bedroom before forcibly slamming the door in her face.

The argument then continued through the door before Josefski re-opened it in order to push his mother with both hands.

The court heard he was also verbally abusive.

Josefski then stormed out of the house and left on his motorcycle, despite the fact his license was disqualified by court order at the time.

Magistrate Russell Warfield sentenced him to imprisonment for 3 months, to be wholly suspended for a period of 18 months.
