A NEW strategy to engage Queensland's youth on a broad range of government matters has been unveiled by the State Government.

Community Services Minister Karen Struthers launched the Queensland Youth Statement - Shout Out Gen YZ - changing the way Government connects with young people.

"The ideas, views and opinions of young people are invaluable across all of government business," Ms Struthers said.

"This statement gives young Queenslanders greater power not only to shape their path but the direction of our State."

At the launch, Ms Struthers pressed the go button on the Queensland Youth Hub Facebook page and Twitter account, allowing young people to link with Government on a daily basis.

"When developing the statement, young Queenslanders told us they wanted information quickly and wanted the opportunity to ask questions more often," she said.

"We answered their call and we're determined to better respond to their needs."
