THE inquiries for solar power at Webbers Retravision in Gladstone are steadily increasing as more people harness the natural source of electricity.

Manager Trudy Leschniok believes going solar helps the environment and reduces your bills.

"Most people know that it is something they should be looking at, because in the long run it is going to save them money," she said.

"It can take around the five-year mark to get your benefits back… but pretty much everybody that gets solar, gets a much lower bill."

Solar panels can be installed on old and new homes but there does need to be enough north-facing roof space.

It's also a case of first-in first-served with solar energy in your street.

"If there are a lot of people with solar power in your street, it may be an issue and you might not be able to get it," Ms Leschniok said.

"It's because there will be too much (power) feeding into the grid. It's to do with the power company and what's allowed."

"We have staff that can assist and help with all inquiries on solar."

Webbers Retravision provides two options for solar panels, classic and premium.

The company is the first point of contact and collaborates with Bright Generation for installation and expertise.
