Wet weather changes

THERE may be changes made to Australia Day plans due to rainfall.

Yesterday Gladstone Regional Council advised residents of the following changes to the region's Australia Day community events due to rain and/or flooding:

• Gladstone Regional Council's Australia Day Family Fun Day at Millennium Esplanade, 4pm to 8pm: A decision will be made at 10am today. A media release will be posted under the 'News' tab on Council's website at that time (www.gladstone.qld.gov.au).
• Turkey Beach Fun Day Picnic and Barbecue: Postponed until further notice.
• Builyan Great Aussie Sausage Sizzle Celebration: Still on between 9am-11am at Builyan Community Hall.
• Miriam Vale Australia Day Breakfast: Still on between 7am to 12 noon in the Miriam Vale Community Hall.
• Australia Day Breakfast & Family Fun Day at Endeavour Park, Seventeen Seventy: Still on but a decision will be made prior to 8am today.
• The Australia Day function at Rosedale Sport and Recreation Grounds: Postponed until February 19 due to flooding.
