Mayor Gail Sellers opens the Community Forum held at Gladstone Entertainment centre last night.
“GET LNG out,” was the catchcry of some Gladstone locals last night at the Living In Gladstone Community Forum.
The forum, hosted by Gladstone Regional Council, was held to gather public opinion on the impacts of growth on the Gladstone Region.
Gladstone Environmental Protection Group (GEPG) Co-ordinator Roanne Karlsen said the forum was an encouraging development and certainly showed that the Council is being pro-active in finding the needs of the community. “GEPG sincerely hopes that the voice of the people is heard and that all future decisions are made with the community's needs in mind.”
