SPINNAKER Park will remain closed until it is clear of debris, following the recent wild weather.
Damaged trees are still being removed form the sight to ensure the park and its facilities are safe for residents to use.
Gladstone Ports Corporation CEO Leo Zussino said recent high tides and rough weather had also damaged the bund wall on the ocean side of the park.
He said a solid weekend of work has helped clean up the area but it will be some time before Spinnaker Park is safe enough to re-open to the public.
Marina Parklands has been cleared of all mess from the weather and strong winds, so that area is now safe for community use.
“Residents are able to visit the Marina parklands which have been cleared of debris,” Mr Zussino said.
The Port Authority is still trying to get back on its feet after the recent rain.
Although some of the train lines have re-opened the Blackwater line will reman closed until Tuesday.
The recent rain, which is still continuing, has affected production at the Port Authority, forcing some Port corporations’ facilities to close.
Clean-up will be continuing until all is safe to be re-opened. The Observer will provide an update when full facilities are back in action.
