Lynette makes mark in fashion
RACING FASHION: Lynette Morgan and her daughter Taylor at her new women’s clothing shop, SALTT in Boyne Island, on Monday.
CLOTHING store owner Lynette Morgan loves life in Boyne Island and has the happy knack of throwing her hand at anything that comes her way.
An active member of the Seagulls Football Club, life member of the swim club and involved with the Cox Plate races annually, Mrs Morgan intends to stock up on the latest in racing fashion to sell from her new Boyne Island clothing store.
Having previously worked as an accountant for 10 years, she decided to branch out and open a clothing store.
Mrs Morgan said her background has helped her a lot and she could see a need for a new fashion clothing store in the area.
“With the amount of people here and limited places to shop I could see the need for it and it is great for the area bringing in money and employment,” said Mrs Morgan.
A Boyne Island resident for the past 24 years, she has seen how much the area has grown.
Ms Morgan has been involved in countless activities within the community, including nippers and lifesaving, and so far the community has had a positive response to her latest endeavour.
“I wanted my shop to be in Boyne Island as I live here and the area is always growing,” she said.
