Gladstone Festival and Events organiser Michelle Stafford is busy preparing for this year’s Gladstone Harbour Festival which runs for eight days over Easter.
THE Gladstone Harbour Festival is just around the corner and event organiser, Michelle Stafford can’t wait for the big week.
The festival is one of the largest community festivals nation wide and costs in excess of $500,000.
The many sponsors involved are a vital part of the event and without them the festival would not be able to take place.
“The generosity of all our supporters and the countless volunteers are the reason for the free and quality entertainment available to the community,” Mrs Stafford said.
Most of the year, Gladstone Festival and Events work on the harbour festival and this year was no exception, with the event just around the corner, there is still some preparation to occur.
Volunteers and stall holders are needed and anyone willing to help out is welcome.
“As we are a non-profit organisation we are always open to newcomers and some manpower would be welcomed,” Mrs Stafford said.
Throughout the years the harbour festival has always been successful and this is due to the hard work and diligence of the team at Gladstone Festivals and volunteers who have already stepped up to the plate to get the event happening.
“Our festival volunteers are the most amazing and dedicated group of people I have ever met. They work tirelessly throughout the festival and the camaraderie between us all is fantastic,” Mrs Stafford said.
