[BREAKING NEWS]: POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious vehicle fire overnight.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious vehicle fire overnight. 

Around 6pm the male owner of the vehicle ran out of fuel and parked the Ford Ranger at the side of the Dawson Highway near Gehrky Road, Burua. 

Between the hours of 2.45 and 3am, the vehicle ignited, causing extensive damage to the cab and the front of the tray, destroying the vehicle. 

Initial investigations indicate that the fire was deliberately lit. 

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around this time to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
