Women dies after fuel tanker crash
UPDATE: A 33-year-old Tannum Sands woman has been identified as the deceased woman from a fatal traffic crash at Gladstone yesterday.
Around 6am, the woman was driving a sedan along Benaraby Road, Toolooa Bends, Gladstone, when she collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene while the 36-year-old male truck driver sustained only minor injuries.
A WOMAN has died following a fatal traffic crash involving a petrol tanker and a vehicle in Gladstone this morning.
Police are at the scene of the two vehicle crash which occurred on the Benaraby Road Toolooa Bends, Gladstone.
Benaraby Road Toolooa Bends is currently closed and traffic delays are expected for the area.
Motorists travelling from Tannum Sands/Boyne Island to Gladstone can go via the Bruce Highway Calliope cross roads.
