Wedding anniversary
STACEY and Greg Popp met nine years ago at the Club Hotel.
The sparks were instant.
Nine months later, Greg decided Stacey was the one and it was time to propose.
He picked Stacey's 20th birthday to pop the question.
The happy couple had been looking at rings for weeks prior.
"He jokingly said I will give it to you for your birthday," Stacey said.
"Just as I was about to give up and go to bed, he actually did."
The pair were married on July 7, 2007, at Canoe Point.
Their ceremony was at the Tannum Sands Surf Lifesaving Club.
It was a beautiful occasion and the best day of their lives.
Next week marks their fifth wedding anniversary.
"I love Greg with all my heart," Stacey said.
"He made my life complete.
"He has given me two beautiful children and two step-children."
In celebration of their milestone, the couple are heading out on a fishing charter.
"We are so excited," Stacey said.
"I just hope the weather holds up."
