Year 3 teacher wins a $20k VW by hitting a ball into a boot

GLADSTONE teacher Steven Grogan stood at the baseline of the Queensland Tennis Centre in front of a packed house with one chance at winning a brand new car.

After three rounds of the Volkswagen Baseline Challenge the 22-year-old Gladstone Central State School Year 3 teacher plopped it over the net, it bounced and snuck through the hole in the back of the car's boot.

He went nuts in front of about 10,000 people as if he was the reason they were there, rather than watching Roger Federer play Milos Raonic in the final of the Brisbane International.

Watch the video. His reaction will bring a smile to your face.

"It was the biggest fluke," Steven said.
