Supporters needed
HAVE you become a member of the CQ NRL Bid yet?
Bid CEO Denis Keeffe said they had set a target of 100,000 members, which they hoped to reach by the end of the year.
But they cannot do it without your support.
There are about 40,000 members currently. Keeffe said he wanted at least 10,000 of those 100,000 members to come from Gladstone.
He said it was the only way the CQ NRL Bid could be truly successful.
"The Gladstone public has to embrace this project," Keeffe said.
Keeffe said a lot of hard work had already been done on the bid to prove the long-term viability of an NRL team in central Queensland but he said the rest was up to the public.
